COMPLETED

November 2017

LOCATION

Palm Beach, Queensland

Engaged by Quid Property Group to provide traffic engineering services, this commission comprised the preparation of a Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) to accompany a Material Change of Use (MCU) Development Application (DA) to the City of Gold Coast Council to establish a single residential tower located at 947 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach. Known as Aleia, this development comprises 10 luxury apartments offering spectacular views over the coastline and Currumbin Creek.

Prepared in accordance with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), Guide to Traffic Impact Assessment, a TIA report was prepared that considered the surrounding existing road network, public and active transport, car and bicycle parking requirements, site ingress and egress, site servicing, refuse arrangements, and traffic generation and distribution to the surrounding road network. Of note was the inclusion of car stackers to provide double the car parking provision over a traditional basement parking arrangement.

A comprehensive TIA report was prepared, including responses to Council development codes, with further advice and support provided to the project team during the Information Request phase of the application process.
