50376 1109 GC Hway.png

COMPLETED

March 2020

LOCATION

Palm Beach, Queensland

This engagement comprised the preparation of a Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) to accompany a Material Change of Use (MCU) Development Application (DA) to the City of Gold Coast Council to establish a multi-storey residential apartment building located at 1109 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach.

Prepared in accordance with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), Guide to Traffic Impact Assessment, a TIA report was prepared that considered the surrounding existing road network, public and active transport, car and bicycle parking requirements, site ingress and egress, site servicing and refuse arrangements, and traffic generation and distribution to the surrounding road network. A comprehensive TIA report was prepared, including responses to City of Gold Coast development codes, with further advice and support provided to the project team during the Information Request phase of the application process.

The development approval is an example of what can be done with these constrained sites, paving the way for redevelopment of the Gold Coast's beachside suburbs.
