Geleon were engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), RoadTek Operations South, to undertake a pavement condition inspection along a section of Tamborine Mountain Road and a section of Mingara Access Road that had both been closed in December 2020 after heavy rain caused a major landslip with large boulders and vegetation falling onto the roads, rendering them impassable to traffic.

The Geleon team inspected the existing roads and prepared a pavement condition report to capture existing road conditions prior to heavy earthworks machinery and equipment establishing on-site to undertake spoil removal and roadway repairs.

The report provided a record of the pre-existing road conditions to assist negotiations and discussions between RoadTek and Scenic Rim Regional Council and the Mingara Road access owners who are custodians of the respective roads.
